The Smooth 7.1 treadmill has quickly become the best seller in the Smooth Fitness treadmill line-up, and for good reason, there's a lot to like.

The 7.1 has features similar to the Smooth 5.0 treadmill but adds some nice upgrades for the more serious treadmill shopper.

My favorite feature of the Smooth 7.1 is the heart rate controlled programs. Simply enter your age, weight, gender, height and desired heart rate, and the treadmill automatically adjusts the speed and incline with no user input required.

Another option I like is the wireless heart rate monitor. That's an option on almost all treadmills, regardless of price, but Smooth has thrown it in for free. If you were to go buy a good wireless heart rate monitor on your own dime, expect to drop a minimum of $150 bucks.
