The Proform 995 SEL is a big step up from my under $500 pick, the Weslo
c62 Treadmill.
What do you get for the extra $200 bucks? The biggest benefit you'll
notice is a superior cushioned deck. It's not as nice a deck as you'll
find on the entry or mid-level treadmills, but it's a nice upgrade you'll
appreciate if you use this unit on a regular basis.
You'll also enjoy the larger running surface and more built-in workouts,
along with a nicer display.
As with the Weslo c62, don't buy this treadmill if you plan on running.
Come to think of it, don't buy any treadmill under about $1800 for running,
they'll break down quickly and need costly repairs.
If you plan on walking, or light jogging, the Proform 995 SEL is a good
choice. Just promise me you won't run on it, the warranty is short.
